Describe a person who impressed you the most when you were in primary school

I was considered a very naughty kid in my childhood. I was intelligent, but I used to never study at home. In fact, I would spend all my day playing sports or video games. So, my mother made me join extra classes after school with a home tutor nearby. Her name was Mrs kaur.

She is the person who impressed me the most during my childhood. In fact, I believe it is because of her that I might be able to fulfil my dream of going abroad. First, she developed my interest in studies. Before her, I used to consider studies as a boring task. I only studied before exams.

The teachers at my school were also good, but due to the burden of covering the vast syllabus and shortage of time, they found it hard to cover everything in detail. She covered everything in detail. Rather than asking me to memorise things, she made me understand the concept behind things.

But studies were not the only reason why she left such a big imprint on me. I learnt many of life’s valuable lessons from her in my childhood. She taught me the importance of humility, punctuality, and manners. Even if I was late by 5 minutes, I was not allowed to attend the class.

Another thing that I liked about her was that though she was strict, she was also very friendly to talk to. She was more than a teacher to me in this regard. I shared all my problems with her, and she would always patiently listen. And instead of providing solutions, she would ask me to think about the best action in that situation.

Because of this, I am independent today, and I am confident of taking decisions.

I have the utmost respect for her. She has helped me a lot in developing my abilities. I shall always keep a lot of gratitude for her.

Describe an item on which you spent more than expected IELTS cue card

Well, I spend money carefully and do not believe in wasting it. I do not spend it on unnecessary things.

But, recently, for my cousin’s wedding, I ended up spending too much money. The fact is that at this wedding I want to look handsome/beautiful and I was super excited about it. And of course, I wanted to look something special on this day. For that reason, I visited the branded store at the local shopping mall where I could buy some party wears.

At this store, I was able to find what I was actually looking for. It was a pant coat black in color (or Lehnga) and elegantly designed; the cost of this suit was 15,000 which was too little high.

However, I liked it so much, so I decided to buy it. In fact, the sales guy showed me a white silk shirt( Red Dupatta) that would go really well with this pant coat(Lehnga), and he compelled me to buy it. Finally, I paid 20,000 at this store and came back with these two things. Then I went to another store for buying a pair of shoes and it cost me another 4000 rupees.

I did not have want to spend more money but one of my friends suggested that this dress is incomplete without some accessories. I must wear a tie or a belt and a watch to look more classy and elegant.((I must buy bangles, earrings and a matching purse also)). Hence, I had to spend few more thousand rupees to get all these things.

Now it was the wedding evening. I was beautifully dressed up, and I must say that I received hundreds of compliments from my near and dear ones for looking so handsome (Beautiful) in this dress, and I realized that it was worth spending this much money.

Describe an activity that you usually do that wastes your time IELTS cue card

Well, life has become extremely fast and busy, and people often complain that they are short on time, yet we waste a lot of time intentionally or unintentionally.

Here I would like to talk about an activity that I do regularly, and it wastes my hours easily.

The fact is that I am quite active on social media, which is like an addiction these days. It is a more practical way to remain in touch with friends and relatives as it saves a lot of time and energy when compared to meeting others personally.

But sometimes, I feel that I waste too much time on this. Firstly, I have a huge network of friends who are active on different apps like Whatsapp, Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, and others, and for their sake, I always have to remain active on these platforms. In addition, people sometimes share posts meaninglessly and always expect from others to comment. A few of my friends are so obsessed that they get angry with me if I don’t comment in time.

Similarly, every second day is someone’s birthday, and I have to spare time to wish them. Moreover, these platforms are bombarded with extremely tempting advertisements, and once I get on these sites to check anything, I end up wasting a lot of time.

I feel very bad because now I am addicted to use the social media. So, this is an activity that I do regularly, which wastes my a lot of time of mine.

Describe a skill that was difficult for you to learn IELTS cue card

In this contemporary era, there is competition everywhere, and we try hard to learn new skills So that we grow in our life and make a better career.

I also tried to learn a new skill last year, and with a lot of efforts, I managed to learn it at last.

Last year, due to the corona pandemic, our country was in a state of lockdown. During that time, the government imposed a ban on going outside. Since I had nothing to do at home, I decided to learn to cook.

To make good use of my spare time, I decided to learn cooking at home because I had planned to move to Canada for my further studies. As there is a lot of difference between Indian and Canadian foods, therefore I realized that learning to cook in my spare time would be a good thig for me.

Like a youngster, I started to learn cooking by watching videos on YouTube. I tried to cook some recipes but I failed because it was really very difficult to cook food as it requires a lot of patience. My mother helped me. She is an excellent cook. I started watching her when she cooked food in the kitchen. My mother gave me knowledge about ingredients.

The whole process took around 7 months. Many times I had failed, but I kept on doing practice with determination, dedication and discipline.

Learning a new skill is a difficult task, and with regular practice, we can learn it

Describe a time you moved to a new home/school

Well, these days, it is quite common to see people moving from one pace to the other for different reasons. I, too, had experienced the same thing when I was in 8th grade.

Actually, earlier we used to live in a village in a joint family with my grandparents and uncles and aunts. The Experience of being together was amazing, and the peaceful life of a village away from the hustle and bustle of cities cannot be explained in words.

However, my family decided to move to the city for my higher studies and a better future. It was not easy for all of us to leave our ancestor’s house to live separately in a city where nobody knew us.

We were finding it hard to adapt to the new place. Luckily, our neighbor Mr.Singh was really a friendly and kind-hearted person. He helped us in every possible way to make us feel at ease.

Surprisingly, his son/daughter Arsh was my age mate, and I got admission in the same school where he/she was studying; and Just because of Arsh, I could easily adjust at school and made many friends. In fact, on weekends, Mr. Singh, along with his family, used to take us for city tours.

Although we initially missed our family and village house a lot but over time, we got used to city life. We get used to visiting shopping malls, cafes, parks, playing in grounds, studying in libraries, and others.

Describe a time when you felt proud of a family member

Well, I always feel proud on my family, but here I would like to share the incident when I was extremely proud of my brother. My brother Simran studies in 12th class, and he has a friend named Raj who is quite a brilliant student.

Unfortunately, Raj comes from a poor family, and often his parents find it difficult to pay his school fee, but last month his father had an accident, and because of that, a lot of money went into his treatment. For that reason, his parents were unable to pay his school fee.

The school issued a notice to Raj that if the school fee is not paid on time, he would not be allowed to sit in exams. But my brother told Raj not to worry.

My brother had been saving money to change his mobile phone. Without thinking twice, he paid the school fee for Raj from his saved money.

((Now he made such a huge sacrifice but didn’t even tell anyone, not even me. Some time ago, when Raj visited our house, he came with a flower bouquet to thank my brother, and during this time, he revealed the entire story of how my brother helped him. ))

To listen this, we got emotional, we hugged my brother tightly, and we were really feeling proud of him.

((I must say that my father was especially proud of my brother because he always wanted to see his son as a kind and generous person.))

Overall, it was the time when my brother made us proud by helping someone.

Describe a difficult thing you did

Well, I have done many things in my life which I found difficult in the beginning, but then with practice, they became easy. For example, I found cooking to be very difficult at first, but now I can cook anything easily by just following the recipe.

So this was something that was difficult for me to learn.

Describe a time you got up early

To be honest, I am a person who stays awake till late night but finds it really hard to get up early in the morning. But here I would share one incident when I had to get up quite early in the morning, around 4 a.m.

In last Year August Month, my family decided to go to Shimla for vacations as the weather was really hot in my hometown, so we decided to go to Shimla, which is a beautiful hill station and famous for its pleasant weather but my father decided to start this journey at 3 in the morning so that we could reach there during daytime.

Getting up early was too difficult for me. I never wanted to get up that early in the morning. But I had to get up just like other family members, we all got up at around 3 a.m., and we got ready for this journey.

I helped my mother in packing the food and luggage, and we started our journey at sharp 4 a.m. My father made a good decision because we avoided travelling in the Sun. In the early morning, temperature was quite low and we had a comfortable journey in our car.

Another thing that I must say is that there was hardly any traffic on the road, so we covered the distance in much lesser time.

Our early start gave us extra time to spend in Shimla. We did a variety of activities there. I was quite happy when we reached Shimla. In fact, I realized the importance of getting up early on that day.

Describe an art or craft activity that you had at school

Well, although people’s interest in art and craft is dying yet I am an art lover. I have tried my luck in few art forms.

And here I would like to talk about calligraphy – the art of decorative and stylish writing I learnt in my school days.

I remember when I was in 5th grade; a summer camp was organized in my school during summer vacations. Since my handwriting was really poor so parents got me enrolled for writing classes. For few days, I found it hard going to classes as I wanted to have fun on holidays but soon few of my classmates also joined and I developed an interest in cursive writing.

Trainer was friendly and had a lot of patience. She encouraged and made me understand the importance of beautiful handwriting. She told me that Good hand writing is useful for academic purpose. She also told me that with this skill we can make greeting cards. My trainer provided me with few notebooks with dotted alphabets to practice and follow the shape properly. In about 2 weeks I started to write freely with very impressive writing. Not only my parents but also my friends were so amazed to see me writing.

I had also made many posters later writing motivational thoughts in cursive and have pasted them in my study area. I must say it is a very important form of all for every child to learn to make them creative and artist.

Describe a person who solved a problem in a smart way

Well, we all come across different kinds of problems in our day-to-day life. I mostly try to solve them on my own; however, sometimes I also seek help from my friends. Here I would like to talk about an incident when my friend Harpreet assisted me to solve a technical issue with my mobile phone.

Actually, a few months back, my mobile was getting hanged and used to take a lot of time to open any application. During multitasking, the screen used to stuck and stop responding. Because of this, I had to restart it several times a day.

One day I was with my friend and he asked for my phone to make a call to his mother as his phone got switched off because of low battery. When he dialed the number, my phone got hanged and he got irritated. Then I explained to him about the issue I was facing with my mobile phone. As he is tech-savvy and has a problem-solving attitude, it took him only a few minutes to figure out the exact issue. In half an hour, he handed over my mobile to me and asked me to use it. I was totally amazed by seeing my mobile performance and speed. For a moment, I could not believe it’s my own mobile phone.

Upon asking about the issue, he explained that mainly there were two issues, one was the mobile’s memory and another was the applications running in the background. To solve these issues, he installed an application named “SD Maid” in my mobile phone to boost the performance. ((((At the same time, he also uninstalled some unnecessary applications which I had not used for few months. He taught me the features of this app such as checking and clearing cache, boosting the performance of mobile.))))

I must say his way to solve this issue was really quick and easy to learn because anyone can easily fix these kinds of technical issues with the assistance of this app. I was really thankful to him for this quick fix.

I also recommended this amazing app to my friends and family members and they truly appreciate it.

Describe an exciting book that you enjoy reading

Books play an essential role in every student’s/ person’s life because books provide knowledge of the outside world. Books introduce us to a world of imagination. They improve our reading, writing and speaking skills, (((and boost memory and intelligence.)))

I like to read motivational, story and investigation related books.

Due to the pandemic, everyone stayed at home last year. At that time, I had much free time, so I started to read different kinds of books. I like investigation and crime-related books, so I downloaded some books online, and crime and punishment were one of these books.

Today, I would like to talk about a crime and investigation related book. The book name is crime and punishment.

It is a novel written by the Russian author Fyodor. It was first published in 1866. It is a murder storybook that is told from a murder’s point of view.

This Book explains a murder’s point of view, behaviour, emotions before and after the murder.

The novel’s first masterpiece is a psychological analysis of a person, who thinks that he is an extraordinary person and he can use spirits from another world to murder anyone.

I like to know different types of behaviour, and this book helped me to let know the unique feeling and emotions of murder, so that’s why I think it is an exciting book.

Describe a cafe you like to visit

Well, it is pretty common these days to visit cafe’s to have a cup of tea or coffee. Here I would like to talk about a café which I regularly visit to sit and enjoy talks with my friends. Its name is City Café. This cafe is right in the city centre.

Actually, on Sunday we all friends are mostly free and in the evening we love to sit at City Cafe. It is a famous brand in the city known for its taste and quality ambience. This place has very comfortable furniture where we can sit for hours.

One can enjoy a wide range of beverages and snacks, but we mostly order a coffee with a sandwich.

Not only the taste of food but the way it is presented is just amazing. The best part is that one can enjoy music which makes the experience of visiting this place enjoyable.

((In fact, sometimes they invite guitarists to play live music as well.)) In addition, this cafe is quite peaceful and without being bothered. We can sit and enjoy gossiping.

I must say the staff at this place is also very cordial. They talk very politely and give the best service experience. However, this place is a little expensive as we pay around Rs. 500 to enjoy just a cup of tea or coffee with a sandwich. Fortunately, this cafe offers a few coupons and vouchers which help us to get additional discounts.

Overall, considering all these factors, it is my favourite cafe.

Describe a plan in your life that is not related to work or study

Well, people always have some plans related to their work or study. I always keep on learning new skills. For example, I have taken classes of driving and computer typing some time ago.

But now I am planning to take cooking classes that I think I would need in near future. There are quite a few reasons why I want to opt/do for this course.

The fact is that I am planning to move to Canada for my higher study very soon. Obviously, there would be no one to cook for me. For that reason, I really need to learn how to cook food so that I can survive in that new country. This way, I would be able to save myself from eating outside food all the time.

As many of my friends are already in Canada and do not know how to cook food, they have to buy outside food which is certainly unhealthy and very expensive. ((((In addition if I know how to cook food then I can easily find a job in a restaurant.))))

My mother is a wonderful cook so she would help me in learning this skill. ((((Apart from this, there is an institute in my city that offers short cookery courses. Hence, I am planning to join this institute as well.))))

Overall cooking is one skill that I am planning to learn in near future.

Describe an article on health that you read from a magazine or online

I like to read articles in newspaper, magazines or on the internet. Recently, I came across an article when I was reading the newspaper.

The title of the article was “Now or Never”. I could not stop myself from reading it because of its catchy title. I got to know that this article was written by a famous doctor Mr Singh.

In this article, he wrote about one common problem which is obesity.

Since I myself was suffering from weight-gain so I decided to read the complete article. I was impressed with the way Dr Singh presented the information. He used very factual information and shared some examples to explain how severe the problem is.

The writer tells that obesity occurs because of sedentary lifestyle of people and poor eating habits. The writer also shared some practical ways to solve this problem. He suggested that people must go for a walk early in the morning.

He also suggested that people should take less fast food and replace it with some nutritious and healthy food items especially, green vegetables and fruits.

I found this article quite informative. Now I go for a walk daily. I also lost some weight.

In fact, I shared this article with my friends who were suffering from the same problem.

Overall, it was one article pertaining to the health that I read and found very interesting.

Describe a time you were friendly to someone you didn’t like

Well, most people prefer to make friends. They like to spend time with those who are like-minded because it is easy to adjust with their personalities.

Here I would like to share my experience when I had to be with one of my friends whom I never liked. Actually, Raj is my neighbour as well as my classmate, but still, we were not friends.

We had nothing in common where he was cold, introvert and a boring personality. I was quite friendly and fun-loving. That’s why we had a different group of friends at school as well as in the locality.

Unfortunately, one day coming back from school, I had an accident, and my leg got fractured. I was on bed rest for almost one month and couldn’t attend school.

To avoid the study loss, my mother requested Raj to come at our house every evening to help me in my studies. Though he was not willing but agreed on my mother’s request.

Now I had to be very polite and formal to a person with whom I never wanted to be. He used to carry a lot of attitudes while teaching me, but I had to tolerate everything because I was in need.

((((After few meetings, we got used to each other. Despite his boring company. Now I can say he is my friend as well. But still is not a good friend. ))))

Overall it was the time when I had to be friendly with someone I don’t like.

Describe a time you bought something from a street or outdoor market

I am a shopaholic, and I love to do shopping, especially from street markets. This is because I love to bargain, and bargaining is not possible in big malls and stores. Here I would like to talk about an item I purchased from a street market in my hometown.

Every Saturday, there is a street market in the Model Town area of my hometown. There are about a hundred stalls of all types of items. I usually go there with my mother and look for all the new things.

About two months ago, I saw a stall with handbags of various brands. I was surprised to see all branded handbags over there. But when I went closer, I noticed that they were not original; they were copies of famous brands.

Every handbag was below thousand rupees. The originals of the same brands start from about Rs.15,000. One bag especially caught my fancy. The seller told me that it is for 1000, but I bargained, and I got it for Rs.700.It is a black bag and big enough to hold my 13-inch laptop

Inside the bag, there are three more bags – one for coins, one for keys, and one for sunglasses. I found it a really good deal. Ever since I bought it, I use it almost every day.

Sometimes my mother also uses this bag when she goes shopping.

Although it is artificial leather, it is very sturdy and looks like real leather.

So, this is the item I bought recently from a street market.

Describe a time when you were waiting for something special that would happen

Well, we are always excited for something special to happen.

And here I would like to share my experience when I was really excited about my holidays.

Actually, my family plans holidays once a year and we always eagerly wait for these vacations. We all family members travel together. ((This thing really makes the holiday fun and enjoyable))

Unfortunately, approximately six months ago, when we planned our holiday, my grandmother suddenly fell sick. She had to be hospitalized, and we had to be available for her care.

Although we were a little disappointed, but our grandma’s health was more important. After few months, she got perfectly fine and once again we planned the holidays.

This time we were even more excited. But to corona pandemic, the state forced lockdown, and once again, we couldn’t travel. (((We were really frustrated, but we really could not do anything about it)))

Finally, last month when lockdown was lifted, we were eagerly waiting for vacations because this time, we didn’t want the vacations to get canceled.

Describe a famous athlete you know

There are many people who have interest in athletic sports like race, long jump etc. Some people have passion for such sports and they achieve greater heights in this field.

Here I would like to talk about a player. His name is Milkha Singh. He won medals in Olympics. He was a racer. He was once the fastest racer in the world. He increased the pride of India in the whole world. He was awarded by the govt. of India when he won medals for India in Olympics.

When he was a child, he belonged to a very poor family. His school was far away, that’s why he used to run to reach his school in time. In this way, he developed a good stamina in racing. Then one day, His school coach recognised his talent and motivated him to join racing.

He was a polite and soft spoken person. He was seen as a respected person in India who was also awarded Bharat Ratna, a prestigious Citizen award in India. He was like an icon in the sports field. He had inspired many youngsters to join sports.

This athlete / sportsman was a real legend. Last year, a Bollywood movie was also made to honour his life story and struggles.

Last Year, this great athlete left this world. But he is still remembered in the world of sports. Every racer in this country wants to run like Milkha Singh in the Olympics.

So this was the athlete that I admire the most.

Describe a creative person whose work you admire

I think every person has some creative ability. They show creativity in different fields.

Here I would like to talk about a creative person who is my best friend Harman’s mother. Her name is Ramanpreet, and she is in her early fifties. She is always making something out of waste things that we throw away. Whenever I go to her house, she is always making something or the other.

She never sits idle. She always has a project in her hands. She has made many things out of waste paper. I have seen beautiful decoration pieces made of 3-D pieces, which her mother has made, and they look attractive.

I go to my friend’s house very often, and every time I see something new. The last time I went, she was making tote bags out of old clothes. The tote bag looked superb. She has gifted many tote bags to her relatives and friends

Also she has made flowerpots from old used bottles and oil cans. Her whole house is decorated with beautiful home-made things.

I have also learnt many things from my friend’s mother. I think she is very creative.

Describe a difficult decision that you once made

Well, taking decisions is part of our routine life and we take many minor as well as major decisions during our lifetime.

Here I am going to talk about a decision that was not an easy one for me to take. It was the decision about which stream of study (// or subjects) I should choose after completing 10th class.

I vividly remember when I completed the 10th class then I had to choose one field for my higher study. My inclination was towards the commerce stream because I wanted to study business but my parents were compelling me to join the science stream. They had their own justification because they knew about the opportunities in the field of science field but rather than going against my parents’ decision, I decided to do a bit of research before I took my final decision.

((((I checked out some blogs on internet where students had shared their experiences about different subjects. However, from that information, I was not in a position to draw any conclusion.))))

At this time, I approached my school teacher, she had taught me for more than 10 years and she was well aware of my capabilities, strengths and weaknesses. She too recommended me to go for business studies/arts/science as I can do well in it.

In fact, a few of my friends are already in Canada for their higher studies and they told me about the potential of business/arts/science studies.

She consulted and convinced my parents to let me join commerce Arts/science because I would have interest in this field of study.

Finally, my parents agreed and I took this difficult decision but overall it was the time when I took a lot of time to take a decision.

Describe a habit your friend has and you want to develop

No doubt, we easily get impressed by the good habits of others, and we wish to develop the same habits but it is not an easy thing to do.

Here I am going to describe a good habit of my friend. This is the habit of reading for interest in leisure time. He has been doing this habit for many years.

Reading in free time helps him in many ways. Firstly unlike others, he spent his free time in a productive manner. Secondly, through reading, he acquires knowledge of different domains, and this is perhaps the reason why he is the most active student in the classroom.

Also, he is very proficient in English because he mostly read books in English, which helps him to improve his vocabulary.

He has a small library at home with hundreds of books. Many of those books are gifted to him by his friends and family members. I have requested my friend to give me some interesting books so that I can also develop interest in reading.

I hope this habit will help me to sit and study for long hours, which will ultimately improve my academic performance.

It is the habit that my friend has, and I, too, wish to develop.

Describe a bike/motorcycle/car tour you would like to go on

Well, bike tours are not uncommon these days. It is a very unique concept when it comes to exploring new places. Unfortunately, I have no such experience yet, but I am excited for a bike tour that I am planning with my friends.

Actually, I got to know about this from a travel magazine. According to the article, one can go on a bike tour in Manali which is a beautiful hill station. It is for those who want to enjoy the natural beauty. Travelers can easily hire a bike from rental shops in Manali along with the road map. In this way, they can experience off-roading.

One has to cover 15-kilometre track which can be quite difficult but full of adventure. Following the bumpy tracks, one can reach a remote town on the other side of the hill for an amazing experience.

There are a number of photographs in the magazine to show what tourists can experience. First of all, there is a beautiful waterfall and a lake with crystal clear water and it is very popular among travelers for swimming.

We would love to take photographs at this place. We will surely go for more bike tours in future.

Model answer 2

I like to travel. We all family members go for journeys in car. Since I have not visited any place in the last two years, I would make a visit to a hill station next month. I would like to visit Shimla. My parents will also go with me.

I live in the northern part of India where temperature is high in summers. The main reason for going to Shimla is to get relief from the heat. In winters, we can go there to see the snowfalls.

While having the journey through the car, I would get a chance to spend some quality time with family members.

Moreover, our trip would be for ten days, we would be carrying plenty of things with us such as groceries, blankets and room heaters plus clothes. Since the space in our car is enough, we would not be having any problem in carrying the necessary things.

Apart from this, the journey to Shimla is exciting. Many beautiful places such as Kasauli, many others, would come our way. When you are in a car, it is comfortable for you to take a halt.

So due to these reasons, I would like to go to Shimla in my car.

Describe a place you visited on vacation

About two months ago, my family and I went on a 4-day vacation to Jaipur. Jaipur is the capital of the Indian State of Rajasthan. It is about 700 kms from my hometown. We went by car because of the covid situation. We mainly went there to attend the wedding of my cousin. But we decided to stay two extra days and visit the tourist attractions.

The wedding ceremony was for two days. In the first two days, we never left the marriage resort. We all had a great time. The next two days, we spent sightseeing and shopping. Jaipur has a huge cultural significance. It has many tourist attractions like Amber Fort, Hawa Palace, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and so on. We went to all the above places. ((It was a different kind of experience to see those historical buildings. One day was very less to visit forts in Jaiur.))

On the 4th day, we did shopping from the traditional shops of Jaipur. We bought unique Rajasthani jewellery and clothes. We also got some home decoration pieces. It was a really wonderful experience. I wish we had more days to spend there, but my parents had work commitments.

If I get the chance, I would love to visit Jaipur again.

Describe a good service you received

I am going to talk about the service which we received in a restaurant. My friend celebrated his birthday last Saturday evening in that restaurant. It was a small hotel, but service given by them was great.

The atmosphere in hotel was excellent. As I mentioned, I went to the restaurant because a friend had invited me to celebrate his birthday there. We were ten friends.

The service was good because the restaurant staff and owners really made us feel at home. From the moment we walked in, the waiters were polite, approachable and attentive; nothing was too much to ask. They brought out a cake with candles and sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to my friend, although we hadn’t asked them to do this, and the restaurant owners kept checking whether we were happy with everything, which was thoughtful of them.

All in all, the delicious food, good company and friendly service made it an unforgettable evening.

Describe a businessman you admire

There are many successful businessmen, and I often read the biographies people.

I recently read an article about a famous Punjabi businessman, Mr. Baldev, and he is the one whom I admire the most. Actually, he was not rich in the starting and he built up his business from scratch. He lost his parents at an early age and could not go to school.

For survival, he started giving haircuts to people for 2 rupees only. From an early age, he was quite intelligent and hard-working.so after saving money from this small work, he purchased his first second-hand car and then he started a car rental business.

Along with his new business, he continued to give haircuts. Slowly and steadily, his business grew, and today he is a billionaire. He has hundreds of cars in his fleet, including expensive cars like Mercedes and Rolls-Royce, and but still he is a humble man.

I admire this person because he contributes greatly to society. He donates a lot of money to help people in need. He has helped many people to set up their small businesses.

(((He is a true legend. Now I regularly follow him on social media, where he shares his innovative ideas. He motivates youngsters to start their own businesses rather than doing a job.))))

I also wish become a successful businessman like Mr. Baldev.

Describe a town or a city where you would like to live in the future

Well, just like everyone, I also wish to build my dream house in my dream city.

And it would be the city “Dehradun”. This city is the capital of Uttarakhand. I have visited this place while traveling to mountains. This city is situated in the foothills of Himalayas. I would love to move to this city if I get a chance.

(((There are many international companies where I can easily find a job with handsome salary. In addition, I just love the weather of this place because it is close to the mountains. ))) The weather remains pleasant throughout the year.

Actually, I love traveling to mountains. So while living here, I can easily plan weekend trips to Mussorie which is called the queen of hills and other places near-by with my family and friends. Dehradun is actually a very modern and well-planned city. It offers all types of modern facilities.

There are hundreds of parks that make this city clean and green. That’s why; it is amongst the cleanest cities of the country. Yet another feature of this city is the Doon Valley School which is famous worldwide for its quality education.

I would like to build small house in a very peaceful locality in this city where I would like to live with my family in harmony. So this is the city where I would like to live in future.

Describe a foreign person who you have heard or known that you think is interesting

Nowadays, it is common for people to keep knowledge of famous people from other countries. Here I would like to talk about a very interesting person who is actually the richest man on this planet, Elon musk.

He is the person who always remains in the limelight because the media tries to bring everything in public related to him. At the same time, he remains extremely active on social media, especially Twitter.

Several things make this person quite interesting. Firstly, he has great interest in space travel. He owns a company named SpaceX. He keeps a mission to make space travel possible in the near future. His imagination has no boundaries. That’s why he often comes up with ideas that others find unrealistic.

I always listen to his speeches available on youtube, which are extremely interesting and influential. He also believes that technology is going to change the world completely in the future, and that’s why he owns Tesla, the only company that manufactures High quality Tesla cars. He has business in many fields.

In addition, this person is interesting because he has a very comical nature and he often cracks jokes.

I got to know that he is very much influenced by Indian culture and wants to visit India, and it is my wish I personally meet this amazing personality one day.

Describe an activity that you do after school/work

No doubt, people feel tired and bored with their regular routine of work or study. They refresh their mind and feel relaxed when they enjoy different activities.

Here I would like to talk about one talk that I do after coming from my education centre. It is going for an evening walk. I spend approximately 6 to 8 hours in study which gets me physically and mentally exhausted.

To feel better in the evening, I visit the colony park with my friend Simran who lives near to our home. It is a small but beautiful park with green grass, beautiful flowers and plants. It has a jogging track and rides for kids. In the evening time, we enjoy walk there .I also like to see little children taking rides and playing there.

After having a walk for some time, we sit on the grass and do yoga. Yoga is the best exercise for the tired mind and really works wonder for me.

Undoubtedly, Simran is my best friend, so we utilize this time to discuss our day. We share problems that we cannot share with others. It really makes us feel make stress-free. This one-hour at the park gives me energy, and this is what I enjoy doing in the evening.

Describe a time when you tried to do something but weren’t very successful

We face success and failure in our life. If we face failure in our life, it does not mean that we are useless or having less knowledge. (((Failures are the way to get success in life. Here I would like to talk about a time when I made many efforts to complete my job, but I failed.)))

I vividly remember, it was the time when I was in 10th class, and I have to make an environmental project from waste material. I started collecting raw material from several places, like I got some stuff from my house. Finally, I started making my project. I used a thermocol sheet, and I painted it in different colours.

I used cardboard, broken bangles, used wires, cotton puffs, some used clothes, some old hairpins and many more. Due to excitement, I forgot that I was using a weak surface, and I did my project on it. When I completed my project, I placed it in a safe place. But when I took it, it broke from between. I was sad when I saw everything on the floor. My whole efforts got ruined in just a few seconds. My tears rolled down, and I cried a lot. My mother came and consoled me, and she tried to help me, but she was not able to fix it.

(((After some time, I collected everything and somehow managed to fix it, and I showed it to my faculty. I was not that satisfied with my project.)))

So this was the time when I tried to do something but I failed.

Describe a piece of equipment that is important in your home

There are many tools or equipments in my house. I use them for different purposes. The tool I would like to talk about today is the vacuum cleaner.

I help my mother in cleaning the house. I clean my house 1-2 times a week. I use this vacuum cleaner to clean the furniture, carpet and other places in my house. Cleaning the house and the furniture is very time consuming and difficult. The vacuum cleaner makes it easy, specially cleaning the dust on carpet and sofa.

This machine is very handy. Our house is just beside the main road, so a lot of dust gathers inside the house. (((Before purchasing the vacuum cleaner, it was very tiresome and tough task for us to clean the house. But this has become easier after we started using this tool.)))

The vacuum cleaner is electronic equipment that requires the AC current. It is of Samsung Company and is blue in colour. It was for approximately 5,000 rupees. It does dry as well as wet cleaning. It has different attachments for different purposes. It has a very nice attachment, which goes under the bed also.

It is very useful for removing spider webs from the walls and ceiling. After plugging it in, I turn on the power switch and use the long handle that sucks all the dust. I place the front of the machine towards the dust. It takes in the dust.  Then dust-filled bags are emptied in a dustbin.

The vacuum cleaner is an important tool for me because it does an important task of our home. Because of the vacuum cleaner, everyone takes turns to clean the house happily.
